The Youth 18 Fellowship
The Youth 18 Fellowship is a structured international programme for emerging leaders with demonstrated achievement, integrity and the capacity to contribute across communities and disciplines.

The Fellowship combines leadership development, international dialogue, mentorship, collaborative work and public contribution.
Fellows engage with peers across the 18 communities, learn from experienced leaders and develop work connected to questions of shared significance.
Programme structure
Introduction to the Youth 18 community, Fellowship expectations, institutional principles and international working environment.
Structured examination of judgement, responsibility, institutions, ethics and leadership under complex conditions.
Direct exchange across countries, cultures, professions and areas of experience.
Guidance and reflective engagement with experienced leaders and subject specialists.
Cross-border work developed by Fellows in small groups around a defined question or opportunity.
Presentation of selected work, publication of appropriate insights and participation in the Youth 18 Summit.
Programme provision

Participation standards
The Fellowship requires active participation, intellectual seriousness, professional conduct and a willingness to contribute to the wider cohort.
Published requirements
Youth 18 considers emerging leaders whose professional, academic, entrepreneurial, scientific, cultural or public work demonstrates achievement, responsibility and capacity for wider contribution.
Applicants must have a substantive connection to one of the 18 designated Youth 18 communities.
Applicants should demonstrate leadership responsibility, initiative or recognised contribution within their field.
Applicants should provide evidence of meaningful academic, professional, entrepreneurial, scientific, cultural or public work.
Applicants must demonstrate conduct consistent with the standards and values of Youth 18.
Applicants should be prepared to work constructively across countries, cultures, institutions and disciplines.
Applicants must be able to commit to the principal requirements of the Fellowship.
Merit and integrity
Candidates enter the selection process through direct registration or formal nomination.
The programme team reviews community affiliation, professional background and basic eligibility.
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements complete an application and provide supporting information.
Applications are considered against the published selection criteria.
Shortlisted candidates take part in a structured interview.
Final decisions are made through the approved Youth 18 selection process.
Selected candidates receive a formal offer setting out Fellowship responsibilities, dates and participation terms.
Fellowship selection
The Secretariat accepts candidate registrations across the 18 communities. Each registration records community affiliation, professional background and the candidate's principal area of contribution for eligibility review.
